Every year we dye eggs and leave them on the counter in a colored heap for the Easter Bunny to find. Then he hides them. Every year one ends up in the bird's nest in a floral arrangement on the office wall. One year he hid one in the piano bench . . . even though we didn't know if for a month or so. Coloring the eggs is always good for messy fun and for snacking too as the kids love boiled eggs. And then finding the eggs? Nothing's better.
